Infrastructure and Innovation

Paul Ruffin

The founder of ECI Networks has a history of creating IT solutions to meet business needs.

In 1980 he was the designer, technical engineer and marketing innovator of the current mortgage reporting and tracking systems used today to publish comparison charts on the daily activity of the primary and secondary markets of real estate finance, streamlining financial information for public use.

From 1983 thru 1991 he also pioneered innovations in database management and application systems by engineering function based infrastructures and processes for business management and business development for industries involved in international trade, medical, shipping, construction, manufacturing and the non-profit sectors.

In 1992, Earthwind Companies, Inc. was formed as an IT solutions company, providing web-based solutions and the development of applications over the internet and on premise, with full service hardware support which included telecommunications systems and telephony services.

In 2000, ECI pioneered virtual computing environments, including cloud computing and virtual private networks in one of the nation’s first data centers completely powered by solar, wind, and geothermal energy.  ECI set out to bring IT to a level of functionality previously experienced only from utility companies:  reliability, security, high availability and performance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Jerry Byrd

Mr Byrd brings to the ECI group over 30 years of networking and systems design.  Certified by Cisco and trained in multiple areas of network infrastructure design, communications and topology. Along with the technical expertise Mr Byrd also brings 20yrs of marketing and sales expertise and operates in his capacity as marketing director and VP of Sales.  Mr Byrd has been responsible for several major migrations and roll-outs that involed several thousand nodes and users.

He has also been used to help our national security and safety by DOD, DOT and other federal agencies because of his knowledge and project management skills.  Mr Byrd brings a unique magic to ECI with his knowledge and ability to make everyone and everything communicate with each other.  This is what we term in ECI as “synergistic” networking because it is inclusive and adaptive.

Leland Brady

Leland Brady functions as chief systems designer and architect for ECI and E3 Technologies.  Lee’s background includes over 36 years of designing and architect of IT circuit structures and systems. His accomplishments include his contributions to national security in his construct and systems.  Mr Brady also brings to ECI a background in networking, communications, operations and security procedures.

In 2009, Lee joined ECI to pioneer the “Next IT Company Business Model” conceived and initiated within the ECI ThinkTank called BL2OC (Business Leverage To Organize Communities) and the “ECI E3 Web 5.0 Initiative” which includes the development of industry standards and regulations.

Scott Provost

At 15yrs old Scott was already learning and working in TV broadcast systems. His knowledge of IT spans over 40+ years. As an innovator and designer among his accomplishments include the 1st Denver cable system, 1st wireless company in MN, Small Business Innovation Center TX and much more. Mr Provost brings to ECI a background in education, IT, and Digital Science.

Mr Provost functions as the VP of all engineering and certified systems developed by ECI. His function as chief scientist is used to determine best methods for data center operations with an emphasis on continuing process improvements, high quality and cost optimazation. In the 40 years of his experience Mr Provost has built and managed over 20 successful data centers, including several global networks consisting of mail, database, file and application servers.

Mr Provost also brings to ECI a substantial background in computer forensics, big data, Virtualization and VR. He has an excellent understanding of LAN’s, concepts and definitions, topologies, and transmission, access controls, network design, implementation and management models to ECI’s core set of enterprise skills.

Demetra Glaze

Ms Glaze function as our GM for Quality Assurance and compliance. Her background as a systems engineer and successful programmer allows her to bring to ECI capabilities with broad systems experience in identifying, analyzing, and providing effective corrective action solutions to engineering and procurement issues. Over 20 years experienced in software testing, software validation, functional, automated, and performance testing. Ms Glaze is team player and individual contributor with strong analytical and effective interpersonal communications skills emphasizing clarity and quality.
